Due to the July 4th weekend coming up, some of us had this Friday off, and we took full advantage of that! This morning a small group of us went out for a SummerDRIVE that started in Castro Valley, took us up Redwood Rd, along the Southern part of the East Bay Skyline Blvd, and then to the freeway where we headed to the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island. We stopped at TI for some photos and that was supposed to be the end of our run, but most of us were craving more driving after that and so we took to the roads and proceeded down Hwy 1 to Pacifica. We stopped there at a picturesque Taco Bell along the beach for a quick lunch and then set off again along the coast until we reached Hwy 84. Taking Hwy 84 East back to Alice’s we encountered some cool exotic cars and bikes filling the parking lots as if it were a typical weekend. Still not satisfied we headed down Skyline Blvd (this time the Peninsula’s Skyline) and took another loop through Alpine Rd and Hwy 84 through La Honda. It was a pretty epic drive for us, it’s not every day you get to do the Skyline Blvds on both sides of the Bay in one trip. Enjoy some of the photos I took along the way.
Don’t forget we have another short cruise on Sunday morning to the Blackhawk Auto Museum for Cars & Coffee. Go to our Events page for the details.
